The Mendocino Coast will be a vacation your pet will appreciate. We have a pet welcome bag with a Frisbee, ball, and dog treat waiting for you upon arrival. Our meadow and forest provides great room for your pet to enjoy exploration. Take a short 1/4 mile walk (approximately 150 yards) to the private beach at Buckhorn Cove, where your dog can play off the leash - be sure to bring your Inn at Schoolhouse Creek Frisbee with you when you go! Upon return, we have a pet bath at the Inn for your convenience. Each room has a pet trunk with a food and water bowl, doggie pick up bags, towels and blankets to insure your pet has a relaxing and comfortable stay away from home. Your pets are our guests too and we'll strive to make them feel like they are on vacation as well! All of our rooms at the Inn accept pets. There is a “pet fee” added to your room fee to cover the additional costs in cleaning. We deep clean and ionize each room after a pet has been in it to insure the highest standards of cleanliness for all our guests. Mendocino’s scenic coast and beautiful state parks provide a great place for you to explore with your pet. There are many parks and beaches near by that your pet is sure to enjoy. Take a trip to Mendocino Headlands State Park, Friendship Park or Russian Gulch State Park where your pets are welcome, but must remain on leash.
